What is the ICT Authority?
ICTA is a State Corporation under the Ministry of ICT, established to enforce ICT standards, build national digital infrastructure, and promote digital literacy across Kenya.

How do I find current ICTA tenders?
All open, closing and closed tenders are listed on our Tenders page, with reference numbers, closing dates and categories.
How do I submit a bid?
Bids are submitted through the government e-procurement system before the stated closing date. Full instructions and documents are available on our Downloads page.
Can I get notified about new tenders?
Yes — subscribe for tender alerts on the Tenders page to receive email notifications when new opportunities are published.
Accreditation & Standards
Who needs ICT accreditation?
ICT vendors, contractors and professionals delivering services to government entities are generally required to hold valid accreditation. See the Standards page for category details.
How long does accreditation take?
Most applications are assessed and verified within 2–4 weeks of submitting complete documentation through the accreditation portal.
Can I renew my accreditation online?
Yes, renewals can now be completed entirely online through the accreditation portal, without an in-person visit.
Careers
How do I apply for a job at ICTA?
Open vacancies are listed on our Careers page. Applications are submitted as instructed in each listing, following Public Service Commission guidelines.
Does ICTA offer internships?
Yes, through the DigiTalent programme we offer paid internships and graduate trainee placements in engineering, software development and digital service design.
Citizen Services
How do I create an eCitizen account?
Register at ecitizen.go.ke or via the mobile app using your national ID and a valid phone number, then verify your identity to activate your profile.
Is public WiFi available in my area?
Public WiFi access points are being rolled out progressively in markets, bus parks and public spaces in major towns. Check our Citizens page for programme updates.
