Introduction
Kasneb conducts selected examinations on a Computer Based Examinations (CBE) platform. You can access the CBE training platform and CBE live examination platform via the links below.

CBE is an examination which is done online from a computer instead of the usual paper and pen.

No. Kasneb examination is done from designated cbe centres, However candidates can attend training sessions, exam rehearsal and mocks from home.
For the training portal the address is https://cbetraining.kasneb.or.ke and for examination portal cbe.kasneb.or.ke.
The credentials used for examination and training portal is same the e-kasneb portal {username: email address and password}
It's simple just click on the forgotten username or password on the student portal and follow the instructions. https://online.kasneb.or.ke/ResetPassword.aspx.
You can write an email to cbesupport@kasneb.or.ke, provide your kasneb number, email and examination booking.
CBE portal employs two passwords, the student password and the quiz password. During the examination the invigilator will provide the quiz password. For training the quiz password will be communicated.
No, in most cases kasneb will provide computer and internet access at the examination centres except for CPA analytical papers and CIFA analytical papers.

All CAMS exams are in multiple choice formats, you may not require to type much.
This will be considered as examination irregularity and the kasneb examination policy shall apply and you will be disqualified. Candidates are not allowed to navigate away from the examination window.
You may not lose any work and once the system is restored you can resume from where you have left.
Report to the invigilator, this may be considered.
Papers may be provided but candidates are not allowed to leave the examination room with any papers.
In online examinations you are required to click on the submit button or else your examination may be lost.

The examination rules on deferment and withdrawal apply to CBE examinations.
You can write an email to cbesupport@kasneb.or.ke provide your kasneb registration number, mobile number, and details of examination booking.
Before you sit for the examination you are required to book and pay. This is done via the kasneb portal (online.kasneb.or.ke). If you fulfill these conditions and your exams are not available under my courses please write an email to cbesupport@kasneb.or.ke.
If this happens during the examination, please raise with the invigilator else write to cbesupport@kasneb.or.ke.
Laptop with at least the following minimum specifications: Core i3, 4GB RAM, Microsoft Excel 2010, 3 hour battery backup time, WiFi adapter. Internet and power extension will be provided at the examination centre.
For centres with a large number of candidates, it's mandatory to bring your laptop for inspection a day prior to the examination.
