How to Register as a Student
Don't have an account?
Signup Now- Access the Student Portal
online.kasneb.or.ke - Create an Account
Sign up with your full name (as per ID), Date of Birth, email, and password. - Activate via Email
Click the activation link sent to your email to verify your account. - Log In & Apply
- ✓ Select your qualification:
– Certificate Qualification
– Diploma Qualification
– Professional Qualification
– Post-Professional Qualification - ✓ Fill in personal & contact details
- ✓ Upload:
- Certified academic certificates
- National ID or Passport copy
- Recent passport photo
- ✓ Select your qualification:
- Pay Registration Fee
- ✓ Invoice generated after submission
- ✓ Pay via eCitizen (Paybill 222222)
- ✓ Option: Pay Now (M-Pesa prompt) or Pay Later (using invoice)
- Get Registration Number
Sent via email after payment and document verification.
How to Book an Exam
- Log in to the Student Portal
Visit online.kasneb.or.ke and sign in using your registration number or email and password. - Access Examination Booking
From the dashboard or menu, go to "Examination Booking" → "Student Booking" → "Examination Booking." - Select Exam Details
- ✓ Examination Sitting: April, August, or December
- ✓ Papers: Tick the papers you wish to attempt (use Delete to remove unwanted ones)
- ✓ Exam Center: Choose your preferred center (KASNEB may reallocate if needed)
- Review and Submit
Confirm selections, agree to terms, and click Submit. - Generate and Pay Invoice
- ✓ Invoice is generated automatically
- ✓ Click "Proceed to Payment"
- ✓ Pay via eCitizen using Paybill 222222 and your invoice account number
- Receive Confirmation
You'll get an SMS and email confirmation. Download your booking receipt from the portal.
Important: Your annual registration must be valid. Clear any renewal fees first. Booking closes before the official deadline—late entries attract penalties.

How to Apply for Exemption
- Log in to the Student Portal
Visit online.kasneb.or.ke and sign in. - Access Exemption Application
Select the "Exemptions Application" tab from the navigation panel. - Review Exemption Policy
Confirm which units you're eligible for based on prior qualifications. - Upload Supporting Documents
Submit clear copies of academic certificates and full transcripts. - Await Approval
KASNEB reviews applications within 24–48 hours after complete submission. - Generate & Pay Invoice
Once approved, an invoice is generated. Click the payment notification and complete via M-Pesa using Paybill 222222. - Download Exemption Letter
After payment, your official exemption letter is available for download anytime from the portal.

Examination Results
- Log in to your student portal at online.kasneb.or.ke
- Click "Results" on the dashboard
- Filter by exam session or subject
- View results online or download a PDF transcript
- To request certified copies, contact support@kasneb.or.ke
KASNEB Account Renewal
- Step 1: Log in to the Student Portal
Visit online.kasneb.or.ke
Sign in using your registration number or email address and password. - Step 2: Access the Renewal Section
On the dashboard, navigate to:
Renewal → New Renewal Applications - Step 3: Confirm Renewal Details
Review the renewal amount displayed.
Click Next to continue. - Step 4: Generate and Pay the Invoice
An invoice will be generated automatically.
Click Proceed to Payment.
Pay through eCitizen using the following details:
Paybill Number: 222222
Account Number: Your invoice account number - Step 5: Account Activation
Once your payment is received and processed, your account will be reactivated.
The status will update from Dormant/Inactive to Active.
How to Collect Your Certificate
You can collect your certificate in two ways:
Option 1: Through Post
- Email certificates@kasneb.or.ke requesting your certificate
- Attach a copy of your National ID and provide a valid postal address
- Pay any applicable storage fee (you'll be notified)
- Receive a tracking code via email
- Collect your certificate at the post office counter
Option 2: At KASNEB Towers
- Visit the certificate collection counter at KASNEB Towers
- Present your original National ID
- Fill out the collection form and pay any storage fee (if applicable)
- Verify details, sign, and collect your certificate immediately
